Exotic missions vs exotic farms

Destiny 2 hands out exotics two ways, and we cover both:

• Exotic missions (Kell's Fall, Encore) are timed, mechanics-heavy missions that reward a specific exotic weapon and its catalyst. They often rotate weekly and can be tough solo.
• Exotic farms let you chase the rolls you want: exotic class items with the perk combos you need, and lost sector runs for exotic armor with high stats.

Why buy an exotic carry?
